15/01/08 14:33
Discussions with The General Authority of Civil
Aviation in Saudi Arabia regarding
FlightPathTV™
filming aviation stories in The Kingdom are
progressing. There are many interesting stories
that we will be following up, from Oil Rig aviation
support through to air space planning, the Hajj
Terminal and the new King Abdulaziz International
Airport expansion, among other "one of a kind"
stories.
King Abdulaziz International Airport expansion in
Jeddah. After completion of the first phase in
2008, the airport will be able to accommodate
between 25 and 30 million passengers. Once the
third phase is completed in 2010, the airport will
have a capacity of 80 million passengers. The Hajj
Terminal currently accommodates, for a short period
of time, the one million or more pilgrims who make
their way to Mecca each year.
